Benji Kimpioka hands Sunderland major boost as Newcastle United outcast Matty Longstaff also plays in Wear-Tyne U23 derby

Lee Johnson has so far been unable to call on Kimpioka, who signed a new deal last summer, due to injury.

But his return is a further boost for promotion-chasing Sunderland as the season reaches the ‘business end’.

Meanwhile, Newcastle United midfielder Matty Longstaff makes an appearance in the NUFC side.

Longstaff has been out of the first team picture under Steve Bruce recently.
