Environmental volunteers launch ‘Climate Café South Tyneside’ in South Shields
A brand new Climate Café has been launched in South Tyneside.
Volunteers have launched the brand new Climate Café South Tyneside to provide a place for people to connect and discuss their concerns about climate change in the borough.
The group meets at the Ocean Road Community Centre, in South Shields, on the fourth Wednesday of every month at 6.30pm.

The volunteer group was initially brought together by a screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing at the venue - with the film prompting further discussion about climate action in the local area.
Climate Café South Tyneside looks to provide an inclusive space for the following:
- Connect over concerns, hopes and ideas.
- Discuss and learn about local action.
- Educate the community on climate issues.
Climate Café South Tyneside is set to next meet on Wednesday, August 26, at the community centre.
