South Shields hub to host final event of World Breastfeeding Week
An open event will bring World Breastfeeding Week to an end.
A South Shields health site is hosting one of the region’s final events to celebrate World Breastfeeding Week this year.
Taking place from Monday, August 3 this year, the week looks to track progress and consider the impact of breastfeeding on a worldwide scale.
Following a series of local events across the North East over the last few days, South Tyneside’s final event of the week will be hosted by Riverside Family Hub on Garrick Street.
Organised by South Tyneside Family Hubs, the event will allow parents and carers to meet and talk to local healthcare professionals. Outdoor games, face painting sessions and crafts and creative activities will also be available for young people.
The event at the Riverside Family Hub will take place on Friday, August 7 between 10am and 1pm. No pre-booking is required and more information can be found through the South Tyneside Family Hubs website.
