Families can visit Ocean Beach Pleasure Park for half price during the Great North Run
A South Shields amusement park is offering half price rides this Sunday for the Great North Run.
Ocean Beach Pleasure Park has slashed the price of rides by 50% this Sunday as the Great North Run takes place.
The amusement park, in South Shields on Sea Road, is offering its punters half price rides, Quasar laser tag and arcade games on Sunday, September 13.
The offer will run from 11:30am to 3:30pm, with the business saying the day should be renamed ‘Great North Fun Day’.
A spokesperson said: “We know how frustrating it can be on Great North Run Day, being stuck here while roads are closed or waiting for family to finish the run.
“That why we are making it easier for you to enjoy your day.”
The amusement park continued, saying it understands the day can be ‘stressful’, even ‘without all the added money pressures.’
There is also the option to buy a Fun Card, used to make payments inside the park, before the day through the website or app.
Then, when it is used on the day, only half of the credits will be taken.
