Young carers across South Tyneside are asked to 'share their experiences'

Young carers across South Tyneside are being asked to take part in a survey.

South Tyneside Council is urging young carers across the borough to share their experiences via a short survey.

The local authority is wanting to hear from carers aged 16 to 25 who regularly help to look after a family member, partner or friend who is ill, disabled, has mental health difficulties, an addiction, or needs extra support.

The Council has stated that any feedback sharing through the survey will help the local authority to understand the challenges that young carers face in the borough.

Young carers are also being asked to share what would make the biggest difference to their lives.
