An injury to Dan Myers has now forced Hebburn into the loan market once again following their captures of Newcastle United goalkeeper Aidan Harris and Hartlepool United defender Campbell Darcy - and Bird has now become their third temporary addition inside a week after agreeing to spend the next month at the Trustmark Group Stadium.

The youngster is in line to make his Hornets debut in Saturday’s home game with Harborough Town as Moore’s side look to end a run of four games without a league win. The Hebburn boss is looking forward to working with his latest signing and believes Bird ‘fits the mould’ for players within his squad.

He said: ”I'm delighted to get Coban in he has been out playing in the NPL and has really impressed in the short period. With Dan Myers looking like he is going to be out for a while, I have been looking for a player that can play anywhere down the left side and he fits that profile. He is an athletic boy that loves going forward and think he fits the mould of player we like.”

Bird will take his place in a Hornets squad that has changed beyond recognition since last season’s Northern Premier League title win - and Moore believes the atmosphere at the club is helping attract players with the right intentions.

He said: “We don’t buy players, we don’t pay fees, we run with what we have and that’s why, over the four years, we have built something players are attracted to. It’s not about me hunting players that may want one last big payday or are orientated by money. Every player that is here wants to be here and that is where our strength lies.”
