Little Mix's Jade Thirlwall set for battle of the girl bands as judge on RuPaul's Drag Race UK

On Thursday, October 31, Halloween, at 8pm, Jade Thirlwall is set to appear as a judge on the first ever series of BBC One’s RuPaul's Drag Race UK.

The news was first announced on Wednesday, July 3, when the show teased the pre-filmed episode on social media.

Now, it has been confirmed exactly when Jade will hit the screen as a guest judge alongside RuPaul, Graham Norton and Michelle Visage.

In a teaser video on Thursday, October 31 released on the Drag Race UK social media, Jade said: “Hi. I’m Jade from Little Mix and this week on RuPaul's Drag Race UK, I’ve been promised the best girl group in town. We’ll see about that.”

On Instagram at @jadethirlwall, she said: “It’s going to be sickening!”

The South Shields singer will appear wearing a baby blue mini dress with a white feather boa and matching blue heels with white socks.

Her makeup by Heidi North features a bold glittery eye look and her hair was curled by aaroncarlohair.

As expected, memes have already been formed and Jade took to Instagram to share one of her favourites.

With a screenshot of her on the judging panel, a viewer tweeted a photo of her on the panel and another viewer replied: “Is that a man in drag?” Jade, being Jade, responded: “Honestly, best compliment ever.”

She has also shared multiple drawings and recreations of her look on her Instagram story from fans.

Jade is known for her passion for drag, filming a segment with Alaska, Willam and Courtney Act from RuPaul’s American series in Little Mix’s video for 2017 single Power.

Her fellow Little Mix stars, Perrie Edwards, also from South Shields, Jesy Nelson and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, are also supporters of the LGBT+ community.

While Jade is set to only appear once on the RuPaul panel this series, she will try her hands at judging again soon on the group’s brand new talent show Little Mix: The Search heading to BBC One.
