It has been yet another exceptionally busy day on the transfer front at Newcastle United with reports that the Magpies have submitted an improved bid for Watford’s Joao Pedro.

Here, we round-up a selection of the very latest transfer news from St James’s Park and beyond:
Manchester United’s Saint-Maximin interest
Allan Saint-Maximin has emerged as a potential transfer target for Manchester United, according to French outlet MediaFoot.
Throughout his time on Tyneside Saint-Maximin, who starred against Manchester City at the weekend, has been linked with moves away from the club, with the Red Devil’s just the latest in a long-line of linked clubs.

A deal for Saint-Maximin will certainly not come cheap for Erik Ten Hag’s side and their pursuit of Ajax winger Antony suggests that the Frenchman is not one of their priority targets this window.
Palace ‘lead’ Gallagher pursuit
The Mail report that Selhurst Park is the most likely destination for Conor Gallagher this summer should he leave Stamford Bridge.
Gallagher enjoyed a very successful spell on-loan with the Eagles last season and it’s this time spent at the club that Palace believe could give them the edge in the battle to sign the midfielder, despite interest from West Ham and Newcastle United.

However, he may be allowed to leave on-loan once again this summer with plenty of interest in his services.
