A number of Newcastle United players have scored well in this season’s Fantasy Premier League.

It has been a difficult season for Newcastle United - but the Magpies will still head into the final weeks of the season in contention for a place in Europe.

There can be no doubt Eddie Howe’s side have struggled to find consistency throughout the campaign and have fallen short on a number of occasions during the season. There have been some positives as the Magpies reached the last four of the Carabao Cup before Manchester City ended any thoughts of retaining the trophy and Newcastle progressed into the knockout stages of the Champions League for the first time before suffering a heavy aggregate defeat in a round-of-16 tie with La Liga giants Barcelona.

However, the Magpies will return to Premier League action at Crystal Palace on Sunday looking to bounce back from a major low point in their season after they suffered a 2-1 defeat in their Tyne-Wear derby clash with Sunderland that ensured the Black Cats completed a league double over Howe’s side.

All eyes are now on Sunday’s trip to Selhurst Park as the Magpies look to force their way into the battle for European competition and Howe will hope a number of his key players can rediscover their best form ahead of the final run-in to the end of the season. Despite their underwhelming performances, a number of the United squad have become firm favourites with Fantasy Premier League players in recent months - but who are the top points scorers within the Magpies ranks?
