Premier League experts predict 2026/27 table - here's where Newcastle United, Sunderland & Leeds United finish
The stats experts at Opta have delivered their latest predicted final Premier League table - and they predict good news for Newcastle United.
Newcastle United will hope to continue their unbeaten start to life under new head coach Matthias Jaissle when they travel to Elland Road to face Premier League rivals Leeds United on Monday night.
The Magpies have collected five points from league games against Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Bournemouth during the early weeks of the new season and have also progressed into the last 16 of the Carabao Cup with narrow wins against Championship clubs West Bromwich Albion and Millwall.

There are just two games to go until the first international break of the season with Monday’s visit to Leeds followed by a return to St James Park when newly-promoted Hull City head to Tyneside on Saturday afternoon. Remaining unbeaten by the time a whole host of United players head out on international duty would provide a solid platform for Jaissle and his players to build upon as they look to push for a place in European competition between now and the end of the season.
But where are Newcastle predicted to finish in this season’s final Premier League table? The stats experts at Opta regularly produce a predicted final table throughout the season that is based on previous results, current form and the difficulty of fixtures facing sides throughout the remainder of the season - and their latest table provides some promise for the Magpies.
